Dr Jeremy Farrall of the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy discussed the implications of Australia being an elected member of the United Nations Security Council with ANU Media today. He believes that Australia should be ready to take the lead where necessary in such things as Security Council sanctions committees or in facilitating agreement among elected members on issues of importance to Australia.
